STP Investment Inc. on board with Legacy ‘Magnum Mash Cup’

STP Investment Inc. is the latest corporate entity to support the Legacy ‘Magnum Mash Cup’ futsal tournament, which kicked off over the weekend and will continue tonight with a series of matches at the National Gymnasium.

Yesterday the company handed over the tournament’s third place prize of $100 000 to the organisers, with Amitabh Parshad stating his entity’s willingness to help in the development of the sport and also happy to play a role in the success of the competition.
Kingston, who went down Linden’s Silver Bullets (5-0), will be looking to bounce back when they face Buxton Diamond, another team who suffered loss (1-0 to Sparta Boss in the night’s opening game from 19:00hrs.

Showstoppers will look to stay unbeaten when they face Sophia in the second fixture and MBK Ballers and Back Circle will collide in game number three.
At 20:00hrs, Broad Street and Albouystown ‘B’ are set to clash, following which, Ol Skool Ballers and New Market Street will face each other.
California Square, who played to a 2-2 draw with NK Ballers on the first night, will come fact-to-face with Mocha at 20:40hrs.

North East La Penitence and Alexander Village will both play their first game of the tournament at 21:00hrs, and following their clash, Future Stars confront Champion Boys.
In the evening’s final game, NK Ballers will be searching for their first win in the tournament against the usually stubborn Leopold Street team.

Meanwhile, after tonight’s encounter the teams will return to action on February 8, 10, 11, 12, semi-finals on February 14 and final on February 18.
The team finishing second will go home with $200 000, third-placers $100 000 and fourth-placers $50 000.
