FORMER national volleyball captain and current national coach of the Guyana Volleyball Federation, Levi Nedd, was on Sunday re-elected president of the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) when that body held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), at the Port Mourant Training Centre, Port Mourant, Corentyne, Berbice.

Nedd, who served as president of the association during the years 2016 and 2017, was unanimously re-elected to the post.
During his tenure as president, Nedd raised the standard of volleyball to new heights. Female and Juniors from the Ancient County participated at several overseas tournaments.
The association’s affiliates voted in a new vice-president in Albert Budhoo.
Errol Chase was elected Organising Secretary, while Amanda Mohan is the Recording Secretary.
Rashaad Razak was returned as Assistant Secretary/Treasurer and Samuel Whyte is the Public Relations Officer.
Five Committee Officers were also elected and they are: Richard Samaroo, Jared Jhingoree, Govind Singh, Candacy Mentore and Telissa Williams.
Former BVA president, Gregory Rambarran was the Returning Officer.
Immediately following the AGM, the executive committee met and formalised the association’s 2018 plans which will see the association placing emphasis on Youth and Female development.
