ELTON `The Bully’ Dharry has arrived in the country to do battle with his Venezuelan counterpart on the `Bad Blood’ fight card on Saturday night.

This highly anticipated card is drawing interest and has spiked worldwide attention as Dharry is out to prove that his last 18 wins were no fluke. He joins Dexter ‘The Kid’ Marques, Anson Green, Shawn Corbin and Dexter ‘Cobra’ who all seek to defend Guyana’s honour against the invasion of Venezuelans, Barbadians and Trinidadians.
Dharry, the WBC CABOFE and IBF Inter-Continental bantamweight champion, will face Venezuelan Jesus Vargas Garcia.

Hundreds of local Venezuelans, Cubans and Brazilians have indicated that they will be out in support of their Latin fighters and it is expected that tickets will be sold out quickly. Guyanese boxing fans hoping to see this fight may be disappointed if they wait until fight day to get tickets; then our local boys will be fighting against a hostile crowd.
The fighters will pay Minister Norton a courtesy visit today and the Venezuelan contingent will meet with the Venezuelan Ambassador on Friday morning.

The weigh-in on Friday is going to be especially interesting as the foreign fighters intend to show that they are not intimidated by their Guyanese counterparts, and fight fans may expect fireworks from the time the Venezuelans arrive.
