CITY Magistrate Judy Latchman on Monday sentenced a 40-year-old man to three years in jail along with a fine of $30,000 for possession of cocaine.
Jermain Earl admitted that on January 6 at Light Street, Georgetown, he had 1/2 grams of cocaine.
According to reports, on the day in question Earl was seen by police acting in a suspicious manner and was searched. The cocaine was found in his pants pocket.
The unrepresented man was sentenced to three years in jail along with a $30,000 fine.
