Bandits take Eccles businessmen for $2M

\THREE Eccles, East Bank Demerara businessmen were early on Friday morning robbed at gunpoint by four men who broke into their houses and carted off more than $2M in cash among other things.

Word is that the incident took place around 04:00hrs as the men slept at their two-storey Lot 129 Lindy Avenue, Eccles home.
The businessmen have since been identified as 68-year-old Peter Ten; Jacky Kwok, 37; and Kuan Jian Yong, 56.

Reports are that the bandits, who all had their faces concealed, gained entry into the two-storey premises by breaking several ventilation concrete blocks by the washroom area, which is located on the lower flat of the house.
Police say that although no one has been arrested as yet, they are investigating.
