TROPHY Stall of Bourda Market continued its unflinching support for the Annual Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club’s (KMTC) Boxing Day Horse Race Meet, scheduled for the club’s facility, Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice next Tuesday.
Proprietor of Trophy Stall, Ramesh Sunich, yesterday presented Chief Executive of the KMTC, Retired Justice Cecil Kennard, with the trophy that will be up for grabs for the Champion Jockey and the Champion Trainer.
The day’s feature event is open to horses classified `C’ and Lower and carries a first prize of $1M and will be conducted over a distance of nine furlongs.
Sunich’s father Neville was a former champion jockey of Guyana and according to Sunich, he (Sunich) has been sponsoring the event even before the Trophy Stall was established.
