A TAXI driver from Bagotville, West Bank Demerara, was on Wednesday remanded to prison by City Magistrate Fabayo Azore for armed robbery.

Quincy Abrams, 31, denied that on October 29, at West Ruimveldt, while being in the company of others and armed with a gun, he robbed Redrick Bowman of a gold chain valued at $170,000.
Police Prosecutor Simone Payne objected to the father of three being granted bail due to the seriousness of the charge and the fact that a gun was used in the commission of the crime.
Magistrate Azore ruled in the prosecution’s favour and remanded Abrams until November 27.
