National Hip Hop and Poetry Finals on tonight

AFTER over 40 entries and two preliminary sessions, the National Hip Hop and Poetry Night competition has been weeded down to the final 15 acts: Two singers, eight poets, four individual rappers, and a duo rap group.

They will all now battle for the $150,000 grand prize when they face-off tonight.
Those making it to this finals are, singers Trevaun Selman and Ruth Wilson. The other acts include Rondel “Disi” Holder, Quason Kevon Paul, Eden Corbin, Keon LaRose, Pearlita Richardson, Gabrielle Mohamed, Mark Luke Edwards, Nicarla Anderson, Alexia Waterman, Kareem Lewis, Chinva Peters, Hanani Ben Lewi and Abdul Rahman Salam.
During their performance tonight, the participants will be judged on a number of aspects, including audience appeal, lyrics, originality and creativity, as well as their stage presence, outfit, theme that they choose for their piece, how relevant the theme is, and how they put it across. Their pronunciation and enunciation will also affect their final score.
