RICHARD Braithwaite and Romona Agard, two of Guyana’s Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) Star One-certified referees/judges will wing out for St Lucia today to officiate in the Organisation of American States’ Boxing Championshipb which will get underway tonight and will conclude on Sunday.

According to information received, six countries from the eastern Caribbean will be represented.
Guyana Boxing Association president Steve Ninvalle is reported to have said the exposure for Braithwaite and Agard in St Lucia is most welcome as it will sharpen their skills as referee/judges in time for the second Caribbean Schoolboys and Juniors tournament, to be held here in Guyana from May 12 to 14.
A total of 12 countries from the Caribbean and Guyana have expressed an interest in being represented in the tournament and already Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago have submitted the names of their team members.
