High Court trial for duo charged with ‘Ghetto Flex’ murder

TWO men were committed to stand trial in the High Court for the murder of 22-year-old Senasie Lewis, who was gunned down outside the Ghetto Flex night spot in Albouystown in 2015.

This decision was made by City Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Thursday at the conclusion of the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) against Clive Forde [no age and address given] and Keiron Taylor, 21, of Charlestown.

Forde and Taylor are jointly charged with the murder of Lewis, who was shot and killed on September 4, 2015 in front of the night spot located at the corner of Albouys and James Street, Albouystown.

The Magistrate during her ruling said that after reviewing the evidence in its entirety, the court found that there is enough evidence against the two accused for the case to be tried before a judge and jury. The matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent Stephen Telford.

According to reports, Lewis of Pineapple Street, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown was riddled with bullets by gunmen outside the night spot; he was reportedly shot nine times by armed men, who had approached him on foot. The men immediately escaped after the execution in a waiting car that was parked on Sussex Street.

Three other persons were injured in the shooting.
