FRESH from his shifter kart triumph in the inaugural GT Motorsports Grand Prix, Kristian Jeffrey will again suit up for competition, this time in all international battles and in an all-too-familiar brand.

The Guyanese second generation racer will ply his trade in Europe under the Radical Works Team, the factory outfit for the Suzuki SR3 Radicals, a machine he has been competing in for just over a year in Barbados.
Chronicle Sport was reliably informed that the two-time Caribbean Group Four champion had signed for the England-based team last week, with final details only recently ironed out.
Jeffrey in an invited comment said “It’s a lot of different training that we have going forward in terms of preparation before races, how to handle a race weekend. Things that I’ve never done as a professional in my racing career, I just got my break to do it.”

“Racing in Europe is definitely the highest point in my career. I’ve gotten the opportunity to race at Silverstone last year and the kind of competition I came across there was unbelievable,” he continued.
Jeffrey, who was spotted at the recently concluded Radical Festival of Speed in Barbados in which he won four out of six races to be crowned Winter Champion, contended that this opportunity he will grasp with both hands.

He opined that should the series yield the positive results then the doors to the elite competition can be opened, doors including the World Endurance Championships (WEC) and its prime event, the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Meanwhile Chronicle Sport has learnt that the championship will feature seven legs with the first set for next month.
Jeffrey, who stormed the Caribbean for two years straight following his rookie entry in 2014 was also crowned Winter Champion of the recently concluded Suzuki Challenge series Radical Cup, where he won four of the six races on the weekend.
