SIR Leon’s Lesson completed a 13-0 drubbing of Brickdam Secondary when action in the Petra Organised Ministry of Public Health/ Milo schools U-18 Football tournament continued at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue,yesterday.Playing the third game of the day, Sir Leon’s Lesson was in a no-nonsense mood with Adrian Aaron slamming four goals in the 3rd, 27th, 32nd and 66th respectively,while Meshach Barratt scored another hat-trick of the tournament with strikes in the 1st, 33rd and 42nd.
Individual strikes came from Amonick Muir 6th, Richard Rayside-26th, Shamar Carrington-44th, Dante Yannick-47th, Dexter Blue-64th and an own-goal in the 40th as the side asserted their authority.
The opening game of the day featured Queenstown,who got past Christchurch 5-2 with a hat-trick from Jermaine Padmore (54th, 56th and 67th) and single strikes from Daniel Ross (5th) and Shaquan Stephens (30th).
Christ Church had Patrick Joseph (21st) and Andre Paul (68th) on target.
Game two was a close affair as South Ruimveldt overcame Cummings Lodge 1-0 thanks to Godfrey Weeks (34th)
Game four was almost a carbon copy of game two, the score line reading 5-2 in favour of Richard Ishmael over Carmel Secondary.Scoring for the winning team were Shaquille Baptiste (9th and 15th) and Randy Roberts (45th and 47th) and Stefan Duke(18th).Closson McLaren and Sherwin Luke scored in the 21st and 51st respectively for the losers.
Matches continue today with North Georgetown playing School of the Nation, Dolphin playing Central High, Maes taking on Tutorial High and Queen’s College going up against St George’s. (Stephan Sookram)
