NEW Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) GT Beer Christmas football champions,Silver Shattas,were rewarded with the first major title championship prize for winning the 4th annual GT Beer Christmas football championship on New Year’s Night.
Silver Shattas collected a cheque for $1M and the winners’ trophy from Banks DIH Co-Managing Director George McDonald last Friday afternoon.
Felix Inniss,coach of Silver Shattas who lost to Winners Connection in the 2015 tournament, received the laurels from McDonald.Second placed Eagles United received their runner-up cash incentive of $600,000 and a trophy while third place Botafago took home $300,000.
Former three-time winners Federal Winners Connection, who placed fourth,got $200,000 and a trophy.
