TWENTY-ONE-year-old Kester Rose, a miner of North Sophia, Georgetown, was on Friday placed on $30,000 bail by Night Court Magistrate Bishop Cheddi.He pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting his workmate Compton Ralph at North Sophia, Georgetown on December 13, causing him actual bodily harm.
Ralph, also charged with assaulting Rose, failed to show up in court, and the magistrate has issued a warrant for his arrest.
According to Police Prosecutor Inspector Shavon Jupiter, both Rose and Ralph work at the same place, and on the day in question they had a misunderstanding which resulted in a fight.
After hearing the prosecution’s facts, Magistrate Cheddi placed Rose on $30,000 bail and adjourned the matter until January 5, 2017.
