THE Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will on Sunday welcome a six- member Chinese military delegation headed by Senior Colonel Lu Zhongling.A statement from the GDF on Friday said the delegation will engage in the signing of the Military Aid Gratis agreement between the two militaries following scheduled courtesy calls on President David Granger and Chief -of -Staff Brigadier George Lewis at Defence Force Headquarters and His Excellency President David Granger at the Ministry of The Presidency.
The Chinese delegation will also visit and tour the GDF Coast Guard ship Hinds, where its members will meet and interact with female officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) and Ratings, before joining in the Christmas festivities at that base.
The delegation is scheduled to depart Guyana on Tuesday, December 20.
