… Registration closes tomorrow

THE Guyana Football Federation (GFF), yesterday handed over a cheque to chief organiser of the upcoming Masters FUTSAL Classic, Ras Wadada, to assist with offsetting costs for the December 2 to 18 competition, which will be played at the National Gymnasium.
The competition, to be played on three consecutive weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), will consist of three different age groups and is open to all teams throughout the country. The Junior Masters will be for 35 to 39 years, the Masters for 40 to 49 years and the Grand Masters will be for 50 years and over.

All team and individual trophies have been donated by the National Sports Commission and the match balls have been provided by German’s Restaurant. The organisers are currently awaiting a positive response with regard to prize moneys for the competition.
Meanwhile, teams have until tomorrow to register for participation. A meeting of all representatives of teams will be held tomorrow night at GFC where the draw for the various groups will be done.
Registration can be done between 17:00hrs and 18:45hrs before tomorrow’s meeting, which begins at 19:00hrs.
