A 23-YEAR-OLD fisherman and two females are in police custody after police discovered the man hiding in the celling of a Lot 1418, 17 Avenue Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara home on Sunday with a gun.According to reports, police acting on information went to the house in Diamond at 00:30hrs Sunday morning and conducted a search when they made the discovery.

During the search, the fisherman was found in possession of an unlicensed .32 pistol with two matching rounds. He has since been taken into custody along with two female occupants who were in the house.

Police said a ballistic test is being conducted to determine if the weapon was used in the commission of any crime. Investigations are in progress.
