WITH entries topping the 60-horse mark, the principals of the Rising Sun and Jumbo Jet horse race meet have already put most systems in place for Sunday’s event, scheduled for the Rising Sun Turf Club, Arima Park, West Coast, Berbice.The organisers have put together an impressive eight-race programme with over $5M up for grabs.
All the big-name horses will be on show for what is expected to be a competitive day of racing.
To this end, the organisers have decided to extend registration until tomorrow, and according to them, no late entries will be accepted.
The feature event is for horses classified E and Lower for a total prize package of $1.2M and trophy.
Other races carded for the day are the G1 and Lower, H maiden and I and Lower, two-year-old Guyana-bred animals, J Class, K Class, L and Lower.
The champion jockey, champion stable and champion trainer will all receive trophies and other accolades, compliments of Trophy Stall and the organisers.
