POUDEROYEN was in full destruction mode on Saturday, `hammering’ Beavers 8-1, while Wales suffered a 1-4 loss at the hands of Young Achievers,when play in the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA)/Stag Senior League continued at the Den Amstel ground, West Coast Demerara.Dwayne St. Kitts was the main destructor for the Pouderoyen line up,as he nailed home a hat-trick in the 30th, 71st and 78th minutes after his side had already secured a 3-0 lead over the opposition through an Essan Nelson brace in the 10th and 57th minutes and another double off the booth of Quessey Alleyne in the 12th and 18th minutes.
Beavers’ consolation goal came from Leroy Semple in the 69th minute.
In the other match, Young Achievers were led to victory by Marvin Josiah who bagged a double in the 21st and 47th minutes; Leroy Mansfield in the 25th and Stephon Jupiter in the 32nd minute.
Wales United secured their lone goal off the booth of Tevin John during the first session of the game. Two more matches were scheduled for yesterday at the same venue.
