POLICE are investigating the murder of Clint Peters, a miner, which occurred about 19:00h on Monday night at Jackass Landing, Puruni River, Mazaruni.According to a police release, investigations revealed that the suspect accused Peters of talking his name and as a result an argument ensued, at which time Peters was stabbed multiple times about his body with a knife.

He was rushed to the Bartica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The assailant was captured by public spirited citizens and handed over to the police.
