A FIFTY-YEAR-OLD vagrant was on Friday fined $50,000 by Magistrate Judy Latchman for breaking the windscreen of a minibus. Andrew Eastman admitted to unlawfully and maliciously damaging the windscreen valued $30,000, property of Terrence Reynolds on August 3 at Water Crescent Street, McKenzie, Linden.
According to the prosecution, on the day in question Reynolds was driving his minibus on the way to Wismar when he saw the accused standing with a bag in his hands. Brown then threw the bag onto the window, shattering the glass.
The magistrate fined Brown $50,000 with the alternative of two weeks imprisonment. Brown happily accepted imprisonment since he had no money to pay the fine
