The former taxi driver pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Latchman.
Police prosecutor Kerry Bostwick did not object to bail, but requested that reporting conditions be attached if the accused was granted his pre-trial liberty.
The accused was subsequently granted $1M bail. The magistrate also ordered him to report to the ‘F’ Division headquarters, Eve Leary, every week and to lodge his passport at the court. Sahadeo’s matter was later adjourned to September 6 for statements.
