Rabada dominates CSA awards … Rabada is the youngest player to be named SA Cricketer-of-the-Year

 

FAST bowler Kagiso Rabada stole the show at the Cricket South Africa Awards banquet in Sandton, winning a record six awards.Both AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla had previously won five awards, and at just 21 years old, Rabada is the youngest player to be named SA Cricketer-of-the-Year.
In addition to the night’s big award, Rabada was also named Test Cricketer-of-the-Year and ODI Cricketer-of-the-Year. Rabada’s teammates named him the SA Players’ Player-of-the-Year while the fans made sure he walked away with the SA Fans’ Player-of-the-Year award as well.
He also picked up the RAM Delivery-of-the-Year award which saw him dismiss England’s Jason Roy in the T20 International at the Wanderers.
The T20 International Player-of-the-Year award went to Imran Tahir and the KFC So Good award went to Temba Bavuma for his maiden Test century at Newlands.
Stephen Cook, who made a century on Test debut, was named International Newcomer-of-the-Year while the new national captain, Dane van Niekerk, was named Women’s Cricketer-of-the-Year.
