The Guyana Chronicle has confirmed that Government Engineer attached to the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Walter Willis is not dead.

The man’s ‘death’ was confirmed by subject Minister David Patterson on Monday morning, who subsequently issued a press statement, announcing his sudden death and expressing condolences to the family.

Willis’ ‘death’ was reported widely in the media today. However, this newspaper was informed that Willis is in a coma at the St Joseph’s Mercy Hospital. The Guyana Chronicle apologises to the relatives for the misinformation conveyed to the media by the Ministry.
