FOOTBALL action in the Guinness Greatest in the Streets East Coast leg got off to a flying start last evening with games at the Haslington tarmac.In the first game, a Quincy Adams double (6th and 11th) led the Paradise side to a 2-0 win over Little Mafia while in game two, Plaisance ‘A’ were able to rout Portmore United 2-1 thanks to a double from Kester Greene (18th and 20th). Seon Singh’s 5th minute strike was Portmore’s only goal.
In the third game Nabaclis beat off Young Jiggers 2-0 with Royan Morrison (13th) and Kevin Glasgow (20th) on the scoresheets while Melanie B brushed aside Annandale Warriors 3-0 with Odel Gulliver, Ryan Seales and Rashawn Charles scoring in the 6th, 13th and 20th respectively.
Company All-Star got the better of Bare Root 2-1 in game five, thanks to Quason McLean (12th) and Lancelot Griffith (20th) while Bare Root’s Christopher Adams struck in the 6th minute.
Game six featured a blowout by BV-B as they thrashed Non Pareil Warriors 4-0 thanks to double from Erin Fraser (14th and 16th) as well as single strikes from Edun Fraser (12th and Kemo Thim (20th).
Game seven saw Plaisance-B needle Golden Grove South 1-0 with Denzil King scoring the decider while Game eight saw the utter destruction of home side Haslington Hypers who lost to Melanie-A 4-0
Dexroy Sullivan’s double in the (11th and 16th) led the scoring while William Europe (5th) Rondel Bowman (14th) stroked one each.
Meanwhile in the ninth game, Golden Grove North were needled by Team Diamond off the efforts of Orin Fraser’s 4th minute strike while the tenth game between Victoria Church Yard and North Haslington saw the former win on penalties after a 1-1 game.
Victoria scorer was Akeem Holder (8th) while North Haslington saw Randy Waldron (2nd) lead their charge.
