1000 marijuana plants destroyed at Rockstone Backlands

POLICE conducted a drug eradication operation on Thursday at Rockstone Backlands, Upper Demerara River, during which they destroyed half an acre of land with marijuana plants.According to a police report, the land contained about 1000 marijuana plants, three nurseries and in excess of fifty kilograms of dried cannabis.

The plants range between one foot to six feet in height and were destroyed.

Two males are in custody and assisting with the investigation.
