All-day football at Tucville today

THE Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) NAMILCO sponsored under-17 nationwide tournament continues today at the Tucville ground with four matches in the Georgetown Football Association’s (GFA) zone.The games which were scheduled to be played yesterday at the said venue had to be postponed due to the unplayable nature of the pitch caused by the inclement weather.
The City teams are hopeful of improved conditions so as to kick start the GFA leg of the Tournament today.
The opening game set for 09:30 hours will bring together Santos FC and Camptown FC and will be followed by Alpha United versus Pele FC at 11:30 hrs
. At 13:00hours, Eastville do battle with Order of Excellence and in the final match set for 15:00 hours, GFC tackle home team Conquerors FC.
The 8-team League competition will see all the teams playing each other once to determine the Champion and will also be used to select the best players for an Academy to further develop their talents as well as prepare them for an inter-association competition
