Insel Air offering return flights to Boa Vista

DUTCH Caribbean carrier Insel Air will be offering flights to and from Boa Vista with the introduction of return trips between Curacao and the Brazilian destination via Georgetown.According to reports, the airline which serves more than 20 destinations in the region, will commence the service on July 4, with flights on Mondays,Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting at 4:40hrs in Boa Vista.

An hour later, passengers will arrive in Guyana and the flights will move onward to Curacao with a scheduled arrival time at 8:50hrs. For the return leg, the flights will leave Curacao at a scheduled 22:00hrs, land in Guyana and move onward to Boa Vista.

The trips will be undertaken with one of its regional aircraft, which seats 80 passengers and is configured for two classes of service.

According to Carla Sobral, Insel Air’s Boa Vista supervisor, the airline provides connectivity between North America, South America and the Caribbean. It offers frequent flights and short-lived to 26 destinations from Curacao and Aruba. “It is a great integration airline within the Pan-American region,” he said.

The flights to Curacao from Boa Vista, cost US$364 round trip, and can be acquired via the company’s website: www.inselair.com and travel agencies. For departure/arrival in Guyana from Brazil, the flights cost US$150.

In November 2014, Insel Air officially announced direct flights from Georgetown to Curacao, with the airline offering four flights per week to Aruba/Curacao.

The airline began its service to the Guyana market from June 18, 2014.
