USAIN Bolt has been treated for discomfort in his hamstring following his season-opening 100-metre sprint in the Cayman Islands on Saturday.Bolt won the race in 10.05s but according to his coach it was the discomfort he felt in his hamstring that prevented him from going faster.
Glen Mills, coach of the six-time Olympic gold medallist, speaking on radio in Jamaica on Monday, said Bolt received treatment in Germany and doctors there said he will be fine. Bolt is down to compete in the 100m at the Golden Spike in Ostrava on Friday. It was not clear whether the will go ahead and compete.
However, Sky Sports in the United Kingdom reported that the world record holder is still expected to show up.
The 29-year-old star is aiming to win an unprecedented third treble in Rio this August as he seeks to defend his titles in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4x100m relay. (Sportsmax.com)
