IT’S almost May, and you know what that means: There will be no shortage of entertainment activities for the coming weeks, and this weekend seems to be the beginning of that, especially since it’s a three-day weekend! Here’s what’s buzzing:TODAY
If you visit 704, you may very well come down with a case of ‘Amnesia’ by getting so hyped, you’ll forget all about it the next day. Or at least, that’s exactly what they want to happen! And the best part is they’re partying after curfew! Tickets cost $2,000.
TOMORROW
We never thought it would be possible, but white just may be the naughtiest colour at the ‘Wicked in White’ Party at Gravity Lounge. This day into night party begins at 15:00hrs and everyone is free before 19:00hrs. Come out in your wickedest white outfit and enjoy great music and drink specials.
The Loft Nightclub comes alive with its grand launch and fashion show ‘Renaissance’. Welcome back class at the Loft by starting off with a fashion display by House of Pearson, Randy Madray and N Cadeira Designs, then party in fine and classy style. Tickets cost $2,000 but are $3,000 at the door.
Enjoy some good live music at the Guyana International Music Festival. This activity is being held at the National Stadium and is part of the Guyana Jubilee Celebrations
SUNDAY
The running group with the drinking problem – the Guyana Hash House Harriers – will stage its epic hash run number 79 from 10:30hrs to 18:00hrs and all those up for a good time are invited. The meetup is in front of the British High Commission after which the group will travel to an out of town location to begin the run. The run costs $3,000 and promises to be lots of fun as always.
Local artistes and other contributors will be honoured at the National Cultural Centre at the Guyana International Music Awards.
