GCB/Hand-in-Hand three-day U-19 cricket starts on Wednesday

THE three-day version of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) sponsored Hand-in-Hand Insurance Company Under-19 Inter-County Cricket Competition bowls off on Wednesday.

While the official fixtures are yet to be released by the GCB, Chronicle Sport was informed that a Select Under-17 team will be a part of the tournament.

Each team will oppose each other once and the team with the most points will be declared the winner.
Meanwhile, the one-day version will commence immediately after the three-day version, with the same number of teams participating.

Each team will oppose each other once. However, after the three preliminary rounds, the two leading teams will clash in the final.

Players eligible to participate in both tournaments must have been born on or after September 1, 1997.
The competition is being used as a yardstick by the junior selectors to pick the Guyana team for the West Indies Cricket Board’s Regional Under-19 competition scheduled for later this year.
