GNIC whipped Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) by an innings and 76 runs on Sunday when their Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) First Division two-day cricket game concluded at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground.Resuming day two on 292-5, GNIC declared on 358-8, replying to GYO first innings 166. Stephon Campbell top-scored with 91 and Gajanand Suknandan made 59.
Off-spinner Surendra Herilall was the best bowler for GYO with 4-72 while Devinish Ramjattan chipped in with 2-59.
With a first-innings deficit of 192, GYO were bowled out for 115. Chris Deonarine was the only batsman to offer any resistance with 32.
First-class player Gajanand Singh was the chief destroyer with 5-25. Suknandan returned to take 4-35, ending with match figures of 10-77.

Meanwhile, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) took first-innings points against the Police Sports Club (PSC).
Playing at GCC Bourda, PSC resumed day two on 46-1 in pursuit of GCC’s 326-8 declared but faltered to 296 all out.
Jason Heyliger (80) and Kelvin Leitch (87) put on 133 for the second wicket Leitch stroked 15 fours and one six while Heyliger hit thirteen fours.
Stephan Harris (28), Rawle Brown (26) and Daniel Barker (25) all made meaningful contributions.
Left-arm spinner Devon Lord snatched his maiden five-wicket haul at the first division level.
With a lead of 30, GCC reached 66-4 batting a second time.
