A 12-MEMBER jury on Thursday found Andre Hetsberger guilty of raping a 13-year-old female.

Hetsberger, who is a television cameraman for TVG Channel 28, was on trial before Justice Navindra Singh.  The jury returned a unanimous verdict and Justice Singh imposed the 25 years jail time shortly after the verdict was delivered. The court heard that on October 17, 2014, he engaged in sexual penetration of a 13-year-old girl.

In January 2015, he was charged with the offense and granted $300,000 bail by Magistrate Fabayo Azore. The Guyana Chronicle will provide the full story shortly.
