Chairman and Managing Director of Banks DIH Limited Clifford Reis on Sunday expressed gratitude to the company’s pensioners at an annual senior citizens luncheon.Reis said Banks DIH was indebted to retirees as they have made a sterling contribution to the company. “We are thankful for your contribution, and the Board of Directors has made a decision to raise your pension,” he declared to loud cheers from the attendees.
In a statement to the media, the company’s chairman said Banks DIH Limited donated over $145M to charity last year while noting that the company is one that cares. The luncheon themed, “We care” saw some 600 attendees that comprised of retirees, members of the Guyana Red Cross Society, Salvation Army, Institute of the Blind, David Rose Centre, Guyana Association for the Visually Impaired and residents of several senior citizens homes including Uncle Eddies, St, Thomas Moore, St, Vincent the Paul’s and Archer’s home.
The beverage giant celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
