Lindener remanded for robbery under arms

MAGISTRATE Clive Nurse on Tuesday further remanded Devon Stephens who is on trial for robbery under arms. It is alleged that Stephens, also called “Water Dog” of One-Mile, Wismar on October 3, 2015 along with others, was in possession of a loaded gun when he robbed Shawn Kishan of his  Samsung cellular phone valued $22,000, $36,000 in cash, a Bedford truck valued $12M,  and 16,500 liters of fuel valued $2M, property of Julius Ferreira. The total cost of the articles stolen is $15.3M.
The incident is alleged to have occurred along the Mabura access road, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice). The unrepresented Scott will re appear in court on March 26, 2016.
Several other Lindeners have been arrested and brought before the courts in relation to the incident.
