THE 4th Annual Petra Organisation Milo School’s football tournament continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education Ground, with wins for Richard Ishmael, School of the Nations, Christ Church and Bishops’ High School.In the day’s first match, Richard Ishmael easily disposed of Carmel Second 3 – 1 with goals from Tamiel Hutson (5th minute), Isaiah Jacks (30th) and Closson McLaren (36th). Shevin Seepaul scored Carmel Secondary lone goal in the 31st minute.
Sir Leon Lessons a no-show for their clash with Christ Church Secondary, while School of the Nations recorded a 2 – 2 win over Central High School, thanks to a double from Lyndon Dorway, who netted in the 13th and 47th minutes.
Bishops’ High School recorded their first win in the tournament, edging South Ruimveldt Secondary 2 – 1.
Lloyd Anderson placed his school in the lead with his 37th minute strike, but in the 69th minute, Adrian Aaron equalised for South Ruimveldt Secondary, until Tyrese Souvenir snatched the win for Bishops’ High in the 73rd minute.
Meanwhile, four more matches will be played today at the same venue: St John’s College and St George’s Secondary will play from 11:00hrs, followed by a game between Freeburg Secondary and Mae’s from 12:30hrs.
Queenstown Secondary will play Tutorial Secondary at 14:00hrs and the day’s final game brings together Charlestown and St Rose’s Secondary at 15:30hrs. (Rawle Toney).
