A PAIR of running shoes autographed by world’s fastest man Usain Bolt was stolen from a grey BMW on Watling Street, in Hertfordshire last month. The autographed shoes came with a certificate of authenticity and a picture of the Olympic 100m champion. The owner of the shoes had paid “a significant amount of money” for the pair, Hertfordshire Police said.
PC Ben Kirby, of Hertfordshire Police confirmed the memorabilia had significant value and was due to be displayed in the owner’s house.
“Whilst the charity has very kindly offered to replace it, the victim is keen to see the return of the original, to allow it to be auctioned again and raise further money for the charity,” he said.
Police believe the incident took place between midnight and 10 on December 21. (Sportsmax.com)
