Man held in ‘Fluffy’ murder probe

SELF-EMPLOYED 45-year-old Mark Trevor Greaves of 171 James Street Albouystown, Georgetown was yesterday remanded by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan when he appeared before her to answer the indictable charge of murder, committed on Christmas Day.The charge stated that on December 25 at James Street, Albouytown, he murdered ‘Fluffy’, whose complete name is unknown.
He has been remanded until January 18, 2016.

The two men were reportedly involved in a heated argument on Christmas Day when Greaves allegedly whipped out a knife and dealt Fluffy several stabs to the neck and chest. Greaves then attempted to escape, but was detained by public-spirited citizens.
Fluffy was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The defendant was handed over to the police, who have since recovered the blood-stained knife suspected to be the murder weapon.
