Abrams, during the presentation, noted that this sponsorship was a testament to Digicel’s staunch commitment to the support of youth, and developmental activities such as sports.
“We’re passionate over youth and sport development in Guyana and we once again pledge our commitment to the championships,” Abrams stated.
This is Digicel’s fifth year backing the esteemed annual event, which will be hosting its 55th edition this year. The five-day Championships will run from November 23 – 27 this year. “I must say thanks to Digicel for this sponsorship. It is wonderful to work with Digicel, and we hope that they continue with us for years to come, and that the relationship can only grow in the future,” Fogenay said.
Fogenay also took the opportunity to comment on all the efforts which are going into ensuring that this year’s championships will be an improved one.
“We are working hard to ensure that this year’s championships [will be] the best out of all the previous ones,” Fogenay noted.
