“Thank you for having faith in us… to take the industry forward,” he said.
According to him, he plans to commence work on Monday. Members of the GGDMA have been invited to a meeting with the Minister of Natural Resources Raphael Trotman.
“We have a meeting on Monday, so I will be taking it from there,” he told fellow miners.
Meanwhile, Minister within the Ministry of Social Protection Simona Broomes, who herself is a miner and has been fighting for miners rights over the years, said she stands ready and willing to support the association.
“Despite I am a minister, my DNA is mining… I want to be part of you… I support you and I feel the GGDMA has been handed over into great hands,” Minister Broomes said while wishing the association well.
