FOUR more highly anticipated matches will be contested tonight as the Petra-organised, GT Beer Futsal Tournament continues at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH), Homestretch Avenue.The event which got under way on Tuesday night will see Showstoppers battle Sophia in the opening match at 19:00hrs then Bent Street take on Beterverwagting (BV) in the second match of the night.
Queen Street of Tiger Bay will tackle Leopold Street at 21:00hrs in the penultimate match before the night wraps up with West Front Road versus Broad Street from 21:45hrs.
On the opening night of the tournament Agricola sank Kitty Weavers, Albouystown beat Globe Yard, Sparta Boss squeezed past Alexander Village and West Back Road defeated North Ruimveldt.
Sixteen teams are competing for the grand prize of $500 000 and the championship trophy while the second-, third- and fourth-place finishers will receive $250 000, $125 000 and $75 000 respectively.
