ACTION in the GOA Olympic Day Future Badminton Tournament 2015 progressed to day two yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, with the team of Grandmasters Gokaran Ramdhani and Grandison Robinson being trumped in the semi-final stages. The duo lost an exciting three-set affair (21-12, 18-21, 21-16) to the pair of Jonathan Mangra and Avinash Odit. In the other semi-final Narayan Ramdhani and Nicholas Ali defeated William Holder and Haymant Ramdhani 21-10, 21-14.
Meanwhile, on the distaff side, Priyanna Ramdhani and Abosiade Cadogan trounced Ayanna Wickham-Watson and Emelia Ramdhani 21-7, 21-7 while Kara Abrams and Siya Persaud bettered Andrea Bernard and Amanda Daniels 21-11, 21-11.
In other results, Narayan whipped Odit 21-9, 21-11 in the men’s semifinal while in the ladies’ semis, Priyanna Ramdhani crushed Wickham-Watson 21-3, 21-7 and Kara Abrams got the better of Abosaide Cadogan 21-18, 21-4.
Third place went to Abosaide Cadogan who also overcame Wickham-Watson.
