HUNDREDS flocked the National Park for the culmination of the annual May Day parade yesterday, where they were entertained by a number of cultural items, everything from dances to drumming, as well as charges from leaders in the labour movement. While the ruling People’s Progressive Party/ Civic (PPP/C) joined with workers at the National Park, the leadership and representatives of the political opposition – A Partnership for National Unity and the Alliance for Change (APNU+AFC) – were at the Guyana Trades Union Congress (GTUC) Woolford Avenue headquarters.
