Vagrant begs magistrate to jail him –so he could get food, and a warm bed

CHRIS (no surname given), a 50-year-old vagrant who allegedly stole a bicycle worth $20,000, property of Lester Caesar, appeared Wednesday before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore on a simple larceny charge, and was

fined $20,000.

The prosecution’s case was that on April 7, at Kitty, Georgetown, Chris stole the bike.

Chris pleaded guilty to the charge, telling the magistrate: “I saw the bike, which was parked by a house, and I snatch it. However, someone later thief it back from me.”
Magistrate Azore informed Chris that if he failed to pay the fine, he would have to spend a month at the Camp Street Prison.

Upon receiving that piece of advice, Chris threw himself down in the prisoner’s dock and begged for the opportunity to get food and a warm bed. The action of prostrating himself, however, caused him to give the courtroom a grand flash of his genitals.
