Cummings Lodge skeletal remains… Samples sent for DNA testing not returned as yet-Crime Chief

SAMPLES taken from the skeletal remains which were found aback of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara, on September 23, 2014, were dispatched to Trinidad and Tobago for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) testing by the Guyana Police Force (GPF) and have not returned yet, Crime Chief, Leslie James said Sunday. He added that the samples were sent to be analysed in the twin -island republic since last year and they are awaiting the results.

Sleuths took samples from the headless body which was in an advanced state of decomposition that was discovered on September 23, 2014, aback Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara, believed to be that of former MFK Trading boss, Mohamed Khan, who has missing but this is yet to be confirmed.
The remains were found a month after he disappeared following a visit to Guyana from Venezuela to conduct business.
Khan, 54, fled Guyana and sold his Hadfield Street business after his life was threatened and during a visit to Guyana in July 9, 2014 he was shot and injured by a lone gunman at La Grange, West Bank Demerara.
He was last heard from on August 21, 2014 after he left his wife and children for Guyana and is still missing.
The skull which was wrapped in a plastic bag was found several feet from the skeletal remains of the unidentified man.
