ALL babies born on New Year’s Day at hospitals across Georgetown and Berbice were treated to ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ hampers, distributed by Cheekies of ANSA McAL Trading. This year’s hamper distribution marked the sixteenth anniversary of the annual tradition, executed by ANSA McAL.

Congratulating the lucky mothers, on behalf of the Company, was Cheekies Brand Representative Joel Lee, who also wished them a Happy New Year. Lee said it was his and the Company’s pleasure to support mothers as they ushered in a new generation and a new year filled with hope and promise.
Large hampers containing 224 diapers, and packs of baby wipes were presented to the mothers of the first boy and girl born at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), while all other hampers contained 168 Cheekies cloth soft diapers and baby wipes.
The recipients of the hampers included, from the GPHC: Adesa Sealy, who gave birth to her first baby, a girl (first baby born on New Year’s Day) and Christien Jarie, who also gave birth to her first baby, a girl.

At Woodlands Hospital: Michelle Holder gave birth to her second baby, a boy ( first boy born on New Year’s Day), and Shalima Nohar gave birth to her first baby, a boy.

Berbice recipients at the New Amsterdam Hospital included Sasha Dey, who gave birth to her third baby, a boy; and Ameena Morgow, who also gave birth to her third child, a girl.

ANSA McAL Trading also took the opportunity to express their appreciation to the management and staff of all the hospitals throughout Guyana who had assisted in making the ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ presentation on New Year’s Day 2015 a great success.
