THE festive season of Christmas and New Year is once again with us. I take this opportunity to convey Season Greetings to all Guyanese in particular to relatives, friends and colleagues.

As is customary, there will be lots of merriment, celebrations and exchange of gifts.
Let us not, however, lose sight of the true reason for the season, namely to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ whose life and teachings exemplified the virtues of humility and simplicity.
