The Guyana Power & Light Inc (GPL) has been dealing Essequibians daily, lengthy blackouts since last week. On Sunday, the area was without power all day well into the very late of night. The blackouts continued for several hours on Monday and Tuesday night from 19:00 hrs to around 22:00 hrs.There has been no word from the power company as to the reasons for these outages. Perhaps they can shed some light on what is really going on.
