The venomous psyche, lack of soul and heartlessness of a poisonous snake

The diplomatic community of western and European countries is noted for ignoring the multiplicity of real problems in their own countries and undermining the peace in other countries under the guise of supporting democracy; when in fact they are enabling the undemocratic war-mongers to destabilize their host nations.

And therein lies the crux of all Guyana’s problems, even during the times of the first PPP Government. The fact that they are very supportive of the opposition cabal in Guyana is well-established, as evidenced by their actions and rhetoric; and this is what has emboldened the joint opposition to sound the drums of war in this nation, which is peacefully pursuing an incrementally upward developmental trajectory.

So one wonders at the intentions and the real agenda of these alien creatures who are undermining our national peace and unity.

If they succeed in removing the PPP/C Government – by force or rigging of elections — what alternative in Government or leadership are they offering this nation that would not result in developmental retrogression, as has happened before because of their interference in Guyana’s socio-political dynamics?

Brent Hardt’s disdain for the PPP/C administration and open encouragement to the evil Machiavellian opposition to insurrection is well-documented, and received a fitting answer from Minister Priya Manickchand.

However, the diplomatic community has gone underground since then, and has been holding clandestine meetings with opposition forces who have a history of inciting violent confrontations and much destruction in this nation.

One wonders what they stand to gain, and what is the exchange for their support for the very people who destroyed this country all because of their support; and continue their destructive ways.

The unconcern of the joint opposition in cutting budgetary allocations to vital sectors, which has negatively affected even the supporters of the opposition; their non-support of the AML/CFT bill and transformational projects which would have greatly expanded commerce, provide Guyanese with affordable and dependable energy, affordable tertiary healthcare; job, and wealth-creating opportunities, among other benefits, to enhance the lives and livelihoods of the citizens, is worrying and indicates a confidence of victory at the polls, even if their actions drive their supporters away.

Nagamootoo’s underlying and latent threat of insurrection as he called for a ‘no-confidence’ motion, as preferable to removing the Government by violent means, has sinister implications, especially when taken together with the constant engineering of violent actions by supporters of the opposition, as was seen up to recently at Linden and Agricola; and the inflammatory rhetoric that is constantly drummed into the psyche of the nation, especially the youths, has driven fear into the hearts of peace and progress-loving Guyanese.

In the outbreak of violence at both Linden and Agricola, Nagamootoo was integral to precipitating the situations with open threats of ‘consequences’ if the President did not fire Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee within hours.

Accompanying his ‘no-confidence’ threat against the Government with the assertion, once again, that Minister Rohee’s participation in Parliament is Government’s political risk bespeaks a mind so utterly vile that, merely because he begrudges and hates his former colleagues, he would take the nation down a retrograde path, even if it establishes the dreaded PNC into Government once more; which would be the only outcome of all Nagamootoo’s anti PPP/anti-Government/anti-national actions.

When the Jagans nurtured some belly-crawling snakes within the bosom of the PPP, they had no idea that those vipers would turn around and inject their venom into the very nation that they loved.
