ORVIL Yhap and Travis Singh of Tucvlle, Georgetown, were yesterday freed of buggery charges after the complainant failed to turn up in court to give evidence against them.
The end of the case came yesterday when prosecutrix Mrs. Tashana Laker from the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions told the presiding judge, Justice James Bovell-Drakes that she was not in a position to offer evidence against the accused.
Consequently the judge directed the jury to return a formal verdict of not guilty in favour of the accused, whom he later discharged of the crime.
The accused were charged with committing the offence on a boy in 2012. They were on bail in relation to the offence.
